What a control-freak maniac, insisting on being awake and observing his own appendectomy in a mirror so he could talk Juliet through it, despite her assurances that she'd performed plenty of them in her residency.
I liked Jack but at times I feel that the writers got too comfortable with their concept of him as control-freak, and didn't really expand on his compassionate nature, so that the two aspects of the character reconciled. Most real control-freaks AREN'T known for their compassion.

I always thought Jack was a boring character. He always seemed to be running around in circles.

If you think that is odd, you don't know enough surgeons :P
