I haven't been slacking, I'm just working on a single humongous post laying out my most central and definitive ideas about horror. It should be the best thing I've ever written, at least as far as nonfiction goes.
After that, it's back to the circus, with a one-two punch of Katherine Dunn's celebrated novel Geek Love and the circus (cirkus? zirkus?!?) comics of Josh fuckin' Simmons! All I can say is, brace yourselves for that.
Stay tuned, and stay groovy!

Geek Love is best read while listening to Neutral Milk Hotel's Two Headed Boy.
Curt,
I've noticed some glitches with the blog:
1. A couple of my recent Oltretomba posts (Hangman's Tree and 666 -Sign of The Devil)seemingly have "0 comments". They definitely DO have comments, though, click and see for yourself.
2. The latest follow-up comment to my new post wasn't emailed to me.
I was wondering if you've had similar problems?
"...my most central and definitive ideas about horror."
Love this kind of ambition. I've attempt this kind of thing many times over the years, but just kind of peter out. Exhausting. And I've often meant to reread Geek Love and see if it holds up; been entirely too long.
Looking forward to your big post on Horror. Really enjoy your blog. Loved your interviews with Richard Sala and Mike Hoffman. Check out my art blog if you get a chance. Thanks again.
