What's Groovy
Earl Kemp's December issue of his ezine is up--Who Killed Science Fiction?
Sean from ADDTF points to 'a post on approaches to fandom and criticism with which I identify so strongly that I'm hesitant to do anything other than say "please go and read it."' As far apart as Sean and I are in our specific horror tastes, at least we seem to share the same general attitude outlined there.
DaveZ does Atlas!
Bill at DISC/ontent has a trailer up for Sex Machine; check out Tim's review at Mondo Schlocko.
Jahsonic muses on Stephen King, Eugene Sue, and horror in general; Giallo Fever tries to apply Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics to Argento; and Sam at Dark, But Shining wonders why he's not more interested in horror this December. On that last point, I have no answer--dig beneath the commercialization of Halloween and Christmas, and you'll find that in the lore, Christmas is much, much more supposed to be the time of year when all the scary things come out. The Wild Hunt howls through the skies, werewolves hold their congresses in ruined castles, all kinds of spells will only work on Christmas Eve, etc.
Lately I've been awfully busy, and haven't been able to keep track of the blogosphere as well as I'd like, but I really should have caught this sooner--a horror-themed wife swap!!!
Meanwhile, bringing things back to nurses, say hello to Nurse Marvin the Magnificent; and Steven from the Horror Blog sent me a link to these radio movie ads--scroll down to hear Nurses for Sale!
Stay groovy!
